The Fighter

This is not a great boxing movie, this is straight up a fantastic movie. The fight sequences are filmed ala HBO or pay-per-view, not full of slow mo and extreme closeups. There is no triumphant anthem, nor is there a training sequence that makes you wanna lace up the gloves. The story is very redeeming on so many levels and can't help but make you feel good. This is not your big brothers boxing movie. Recommended.
